FAQs

Stoneware bottles were historically produced for storing and preserving liquids such as oil, vinegar, and beer, valued for their non-porous and durable qualities.

These pieces are crafted from dense clay fired at high temperatures, typically finished with a salt glaze or alkaline glaze that gives them a characteristic textured surface.

Authentic items often feature hand-thrown marks, impressed makers stamps or initials, minor imperfections from historic kilns, and natural ageing of the glaze.

They can be displayed on open shelving, sideboards, or kitchen counters as sculptural accents, celebrating tactile textures within neutral palettes.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth or mild soapy water if necessary, avoiding harsh abrasives that could damage the historic glaze or surface markings.
