Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Antique Chinese Celadon Jar to a period before the 16th Century.

Decorated with incised motifs of ducks, lotus blossoms and foliage, symbolising prosperity and purity. The glaze shifts from olive to deep green with natural discolouration developed over centuries, enhancing its authenticity.

Measurements: 14 cm high, 15 cm diameter, 696 g.
Condition: looks very good overall, but there is an enamel crack near one of the handles, and two body cracks. One small crack runs along the top rim near a handle and ends where the handle starts. The other is more extended, located on the side with the floral motif, running about 5 cm down to the top of the flower. Both cracks are very thin and almost invisible against the green background, but they are present. Otherwise, the pot remains in excellent condition for its age.
