A superbly stylish 19th century, large southern France terracotta Tian dairy bowl with established timeworn mustard yellow glaze, the larger model measuring 54cm diameter.
A wonderful example of an early Southern France, Provence terracotta bowl with a magnificent patination and aged presence, no cracks to the body and very stable and good weight, areas of obvious nibbles to the rim which add to its authenticity.
