Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the Georgian era.

A generous size late 18th century, tripod tilt top table, circa 1780 with a top diameter measuring 85cm and standing well at 70cm tall.
The tilt mechanism operates correctly, locking the top tightly and creating a perfectly flat surface, with an elegant twist stem above 3 gracefully curved supports terminating at pad feet.

A handsome table with a superb naturally bleached colour, fully appreciated when matched to the top’s underside, a super thing.

A wonderful George 111 tilt top table in excellent structural condition, the colour is wonderful whilst some may consider it against the popular appearance of a dark stain or flame finish, we consider this to be an outstanding colour that works well within an interior design aesthetic, a classic or contemporary space.

Presented in very good condition, please see a historic repair to the top with diamond cut veneers inset to the centre.
