Gothic Revival style emerged in the mid-18th century and experienced a major resurgence during the Victorian era, drawing heavy inspiration from medieval architecture, ecclesiastical design, and traditional craftsmanship.

These pieces are typically constructed from solid quarter-sawn or plain-sawn oak, featuring traditional joinery such as mortise and tenon, alongside hand-carved architectural motifs.

Authenticity is assessed through wood ageing characteristics, tool marks, construction methods consistent with period joinery, and the presence of natural wear and patina.

These items can serve as architectural focal points in contemporary spaces, used to elevate sculptures, vessels, or floral arrangements while contrasting clean modern lines with historic texture.

Maintain antique oak by keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources, dusting regularly with a dry cloth, and occasionally applying microcrystalline wax to protect the finish.
