Georgian revival furniture refers to pieces manufactured during the late 19th and early 20th centuries that faithfully replicate or reinterpret the classical designs of the 18th-century Georgian era, which was heavily influenced by designers like Chippendale and Sheraton.

These tables are traditionally constructed from dense hardwoods such as solid mahogany or feature mahogany veneers over secondary woods, utilising traditional joinery like mortise and tenon joints, hand-cut dovetails, and pivoting wooden gatelegs to support the fold-out top.

Identification relies on examining the timber grain, tool marks, secondary woods, and hardware construction; machine-cut screws, uniform machine sawn timber, and modern adhesives typically indicate a 19th or 20th-century revival piece rather than an 18th-century original.

An antique card table can be placed flush against a hallway or living room wall in its closed demi-lune position, topped with a ceramic lamp or decorative tray, serving as a functional surface that adds historical contrast to modern minimalist decor.

Preservation requires keeping the wood away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping and fading, dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth, and occasionally applying pure beeswax to nourish the polished timber.
