Description

Another rare survival from the 17thc , is this fine early example of a triple- reeded pewter plate....it is only 9.25" (23.50 cm) in diameter and stamped WB for William Box of Banbury - Oxfordshire... and also has a lion rampant touchmark on the reverse and the top of the plate..., it is also stamped with the original owners initials AS and some smaller initials HE.....in very good condition for its great age and with a fine natural patina.
