A rare opportunity to acquire an exquisite bright yellow quilloche enamel travel clock/pocketwatch case.
The rear of the face planet has clear grooves for the timekeeper and it has a pinchbeck which the clock/watch can be suspended from.
This dates to 1929 manufactured in Birmingham and clearly hallmarked on each component part.
The base metal is silver and externally the silver is still very much visible.
Internal surfaces have been gilded and indeed the face panel has been engine engravednina sunburst pattern.
The enamel has one piece of slight surface damage, by which the surface has been clipped removing a very small section of upper varnish. But the actual enamel has not been damaged or removed.
I have photographed to show this
I hung a pocket watch within the face to demonstrate useage. The pocket watch is not included in this sale.
The overall dimensions are 3x3inches .the surfaces are both slightly convex and therefore the overall depth is approx 3/4inch
Rare to find in such splendid condition.
