Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The quality is absolutely amazing, they are beautifully designed with some incredibly fine features.
They are made from solid and inlaid rosewood, walnut and various other woods. There is profuse inlay on all sides, even the backs. The tops display wonderful floral marquetry and both are remarkably signed by the cabinet maker in inlaid wood. The back legs pull out and the tops unfold to reveal baize lined playing surfaces. The baize has worn more on one table than the other, it has beautifully embossed edges so we have left as is. They could be re-baized if desired.

They would work perfectly as a pair of console tables and would look absolutely stunning in a variety of settings.
We have had them re-polished with some finely executed restoration to the top of one table. The condition is excellent for their age.
