This is a good pair of Chinese porcelain Dogs of Fo with candle sconces in the famille rose design dating from the Qing dynasty circa 1860. The characterful pair have a great expression, with open mouths showing teeth and tongues and large goggly eyes set in the strong red ironstone ground colour to the heads. Their bodies are beautifully hand enamelled and gilded in rich millefiore floral designs and the candle sconce to their backs are painted with pretty flower and leaf detail.
These are in excellent condition overall, (slight fretting to the tail on left dog only)
Both measure 12 cms wide 12 cms high by 10 cms deep.
