Meissen figurative sculpture depicting a man in colourful XVIII century clothes, in a beautiful blue livery, embroidered with gold buttons, standing on the background of a stump and holding flowers in his hands.
The figurine is based on a sketch by Michel Victor Asier (1736-1799), the first example was made in 1776. The man''s attire and the base of the figurine are finished in gilt. On the underside is a blue crossed sword, a red ''40'' and the inscriptions ''C73'' (model number) and ''127''
Mid-19th Century, possibly older, 1st choice. .The figurine is finely modelled and painted with underglaze paint, partially gilded Condition: unfortunately, the rose in the right hand is missing. Otherwise, everything else is in perfect condition.
