Antique Yew Wood Spice Pot

Description

A very nice early 1800s yew pot and lid, probably for spice. The whole pot and lid has a great colour and patina as you would expect from a solid yew wood piece.  Yew wood waas very slow growing and hence solid yew wood pieces would have been expensive.

In good condition, there is a natural flaw in the wood towards the base.
