Superb Quality Regency Rosewood and Inlaid Brass Desk Stand or Inkstand

Description

A superb quality Regency (circa 1830) rosewood and inlaid brass desk stand or inkstand in very good original condition.

This piece consists of a rosewood desk stand intricately inlaid with brass 'boulle' decoration to the top and also to all sides.

The brass handle is very ornate and to each side of this are two original heavy cut-glass inkwells with brass inlaid tops with two pen trays to either side, making this ideal for use on a partner’s desk but equally would be a great addition to any desk or writing table.

This leads to a solid brass edge, below a useful drawer, also profusely inlaid with the brass work with a decorative brass knob, all supported on four very ornate brass feet.

This desk stand is in very good original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home or office.
