A fantastic George IV Burr Elm library table of country house proportions. Original leather insert with burr elm veneers crossbanded in rosewood and gadrooned edge. Four generous drawers with four narrow dummy drawers and wonderful carved rosettes to each corner. The substantial supports with acanthus leaf motif, each terminating on beautifully carved lion paw feet, on original brass castors. Attributed to William Trotter.
In superb condition throughout, sensitivity conserved and lightly cleaned, polished and waxed.
