Regency Painted Top Oval Occasional Table; With A Spectacular Original Painted To

A splendid Regency painted top oval occasional table; with a spectacular original painted top; the oval top finely painted in water colour of vibrant and colourful flowers, foliage and butterfly; housed under glass in a parcel gilt moulded frame. The tilting top having a brass adjustable quadrant support allowing the top to be fixed in various angles. Raised on a stylish simulated rosewood base having a tapering, fluted column with a gadrooned collar raised on a concave sided platform with foliate carved mounts, standing on ''S'' scrolled legs with turned roundels to the sides.
 
English circa 1820
 
Very good condition. The top in a rare, unfaded condition, retaining the original vibrant colours. Slight discolouration to the edge.
