We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Regency writing tables, produced during the early 19th century in Britain, are defined by classical proportions, elegant reeded or fluted legs, and the extensive use of rich mahogany timber.

Cabinetmakers of this era predominantly utilised solid mahogany and figured mahogany veneers, fitted with hand-dovetailed drawer linings, brass castors, and turned timber handles.

Authentic pieces often feature precise dovetail joints, oak drawer linings, stamped maker marks on drawer edges, and distinctive turned, reeded leg profiles.

An antique writing table functions effectively as a hallway console, a compact home office desk, or a bedroom dressing table paired with a modern mirror and minimal decorative objects.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft dry cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, avoiding synthetic aerosol sprays and placement near direct heat sources.
