Antique Liberty and Co Japanese Carved Side Table

Description

A delightful carved circular side table crafted by Japanese fisherman, imported and retailed by Liberty and Co around 1905 in the. ‘ Eastern Bazaar ‘ section at their Regent Street shop in London ( see copy of their catalogue showing similar items )

In excellent original condition with an attractive lotus leaf pattern carved on the top and undertier and carved splayed legs

It measures 24 inches in diameter and 29 inches high

A really elegant piece of furniture that would grace a period or contemporary home as a side table, lamp or for a large display of flowers
