Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This early twentieth century Scandinavian Modern caviar ice server set follows an Art Deco glamour aesthetic, comprising a large pedestal bowl, a central holding rack with a turned finial, six suspended spoons, and three glass jars with dome lids. The pieces combine steel and glass with a muted brass and silver colour scheme from a mostly worn gilding over the metal. Signs of age include the worn metallic finish and a small chip to the lid of one glass jar. The entire ensemble measures 58.5 cm high, 39.5 cm wide, and 39.5 cm deep. Positioned on a sideboard top, this serveware item suits dining room displays or table settings during dinner parties. The central stem and elevated jars organise caviar service efficiently, while the integrated spoon holders keep the tableware ready for guests. The metallic patination and clear glass construction fit modern or traditional interiors requiring functional period display pieces.

FAQs

A caviar ice server set is a specialised dining accessory designed to keep caviar chilled using a central outer ice basin while housing glass pots for serving alongside suspended spoons.

These sets typically feature a metal outer vessel, such as silver plate, nickel, or brass, paired with glass insert pots and fitted metal or mother-of-pearl spoons to maintain temperature and flavour.

Authentic pieces often display makers marks, purity stamps, or regional hallmarks near the base, accompanied by age-appropriate wear, hand-fitted components, and clean Scandinavian structural lines.

Position the server as a focal point on a sideboard top during dinner parties, on a dining table centre, or display it within a glazed cocktail cabinet alongside vintage glassware.

Hand wash the glass containers gently in warm soapy water, and wipe the metal frame and spoons using a soft, non-abrasive cloth with specialist polish to manage oxidisation.
