Description

An 18th century apple corer or scoop., turned from one piece of fruitwood. The handle in particular is finely turned. The whole piece has great colour and patina. These scoops were to enable people to eat raw apples when they had lost their teeth.

It measures 14.5cm l x 1.9cm w.
