The stand legs can be reduced in height as they unscrew half way up. The telescope has a single hand focusing tube with one original lens which is very adequate for viewing the moon clearly. There is also a brass adapter which allows the use of 1.25 inch modern lenses which give even greater magnification. 6.5mm and 25mm modern lenses together with a diagonal and 20mm erecting lens come with the telescope.

Overall the telescope is in good condition with brass work which has not been over cleaned. It stands well as a decorative yet useable antique scientific instrument.
