Description

A fine quality and unusual pair of Napoleon III gilt bronze and Vert Maurin marble candlesticks / cassolettes.

The beautifully detailed marble tops with acorn finials inverting to a candle sconce, above an ovoid body hung with floral swags and rams head masks, standing on circular plinths with beaded decoration.

Excellent original condition, retaining the original gilding.

The gilt floral swags cast by Christofle et Cie.

Height 10" Width 3 1/2" Depth 3 1/2"
