Description

Fine quality pair of napoleon III gilt bronze & marble cassolettes / candlesticks in the Louis XVI style, in excellent original condition.

The white carrera marble bodies surmounted by a removable lid inverting to a candle sconce, above bacchic masks heading tripod supports with hoof feet standing on triform bases with stepped plinths.

Retaining the original gilding.

Height 12" ( 30cm) Depth 4" (10cm) Width 4 3/4" (12cm)
