This folk art pine coat rack originates from Central Transylvania during the early-mid twentieth century and exemplifies traditional European folk art style. The wooden piece displays hand-painted multicolour floral motifs in shades of red, yellow, black and white across a pale ground, complemented by panellised decoration and a scalloped cresting along the top edge. Eight black wrought iron hooks are fitted along the lower margin for hanging garments. The coat rack measures 58 cm high, 180 cm wide, 8 cm deep.
