Antique Oak Lectern

An oak lectern of simple Gothic-inspired form, featuring a sloped reading surface with raised ledge below. The lectern stands on a shaped central support with stepped cross base beneath. Constructed in solid oak, the piece has a warm colour and good grain throughout with restrained carved detail to the support. The proportions are simple and functional, giving the piece a strong architectural appearance. A good practical example.
