This Victorian parian ware scent bottle displays a tapered form and an original stopper with cork. The piece is rendered in white and gold, incorporating raised gilded scrollwork and a central cross design along with a gilded crucifix motif. The surface features detailed moulded decoration, delicate filigree scrollwork, and a smooth white glaze accented with metallic gilding. The rounded stopper possesses a gilded top rim and a narrow neck. Measuring 10 cm high, 4.5 cm wide, and 1.5 cm deep, the miniature vessel sits compactly in domestic spaces. Today, collectors place this decorative Victorian scent bottle upon a sideboard top or display shelf as a cabinet ornament. The tactile surface texture, religious cross motif, and delicate filigree make the item suitable for traditional interior displays or specialized porcelain collections. The diminutive proportion permits placement in confined tabletop settings where the gilding catches ambient light.

Parian ware is a form of unglazed biscuit porcelain developed in Britain during the 1840s, named after the Greek island of Paros due to its marble-like texture and appearance.

These items were slip-cast using feldspathic porcelain clay body to achieve fine relief detail, often finished with hand-applied gilding or coloured enamel accents.

Authentic pieces feature a smooth, matte marble-like surface, precise mould details, light translucency around thin edges, and signs of period gilding or hand-painted embellishment.

Small ceramic vessels can be arranged on a dressing table tray, displayed inside a glazed curio cabinet, or placed alongside leather-bound books on a bookshelf.

Clean gently using a soft brush or microfibre cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap, taking care to avoid rubbing painted or gilded areas to prevent surface loss.
