Edwardian furniture, produced during the reign of King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910, often reinterpreted 18th-century Sheraton and Hepplewhite designs, featuring lighter proportions, delicate stringing, and satinwood inlay.

These pieces were typically constructed using solid mahogany or mahogany veneers, often enhanced with contrasting stringing such as satinwood, boxwood, or ebony, utilizing traditional joinery methods and turned pedestals.

Authentic pieces exhibit period-appropriate joinery, hand-rubbed French polish finishes, natural ageing and wear on the timber, and hand-cut inlay rather than modern laser-cut or printed alternatives.

It functions effectively as an accent piece next to a sofa or armchair, providing a compact surface for a small lamp, a drink, or decorative objects while adding warmth and historical contrast to contemporary spaces.

Maintain the wood by keeping it out of direct sunlight, avoiding excessive humidity changes, and periodically applying quality beeswax while dusting with a soft, dry cloth.
