Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Imperial Service Medal was instituted in 1902 by King Edward VII to reward long and meritorious service by administrative and clerical civil servants throughout the British Empire.

These medals are generally struck in silver or bronze, featuring enamel detailing on the obverse, and are presented with a silk ribbon housed in a leather-covered cardboard case.

Authentic pieces feature crisp die-stamping, correct regal ciphers corresponding to the issuing monarch, maker marks such as Elkington London inside the case, and often an engraved recipient name on the rim.

Such items are traditionally displayed within shallow shadow box frames on a library or study wall, or kept securely within their original presentation cases on a bookshelf.

Store them in a stable environment away from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent silver tarnishing, fabric fading, and deterioration of the leather case.
