William IV furniture, produced during the 1830s, bridges late Regency and early Victorian aesthetics, typically featuring robust proportions, heavy scrolling, and architectural motifs executed in dark timbers such as mahogany.

These tables were primarily constructed using dense tropical hardwoods like mahogany, often featuring finely figured veneers applied to a secondary softwood or deal substrate, supported by castors for mobility.

Authenticity is determined by examining construction methods such as hand-cut dovetails, traditional joinery, timber shrinkage patterns, patination on the undersides, and the presence of original brass castors.

A round centre table serves as a focal point in an entryway or living space, pairing effectively with minimalist seating or serving as a display surface for architectural books and ceramic vessels.

Preservation involves maintaining stable ambient humidity and temperature away from direct sunlight and heat sources, applying occasional microcrystalline wax, and avoiding silicone-based polishes.
