Description

A Royal Worcester scent bottle made to celebrate Queen Victorias Jubilee in 1887. Silver topped marked for Birmingham, some small dents. No damage to the body, although there are so traces of blue on the reverse in between the design featuring the Rose, Thistle and Shamrock, maybe from some packing it had been stored in, I have not tried to remove it, but would probably remove quite easily. India, Canada, Australia all appear on the reverse. Registration mark on base.

Royal Worcester produced commemorative items to mark milestone anniversaries of British monarchs, reflecting patriotism and fine Victorian craftsmanship.

These items typically feature glazed fine porcelain or bone china bodies, frequently paired with metal screw caps made from silver or plated brass.

Authenticity is usually confirmed by factory backstamps, impressed marks, precise hand-finishing, and the characteristic paste and glaze quality of the period.

It can be displayed inside a glass cabinet or styled on a surface tray alongside other small collectables to highlight its historical detail.

Dust gently with a soft, dry brush and avoid submerging in water or using harsh chemical cleaners to protect the delicate glaze and metal fittings.
