FAQs

Victorian center tables were prominent pieces in nineteenth-century drawing rooms, often positioned in the middle of a room to display decorative items, books, or lamps.

Cabinetmakers frequently utilised dense native and exotic timbers such as walnut, mahogany, and rosewood, often pairing figured veneers with ebonised wood details.

Authenticity is identified through traditional joinery methods, timber ageing characteristics, hand-cut veneers, and period-specific decorative turnings or carvings.

This table can anchor a contemporary living space by contrasting its ornate nineteenth-century craftsmanship with minimalist seating and clean architectural lines.

Maintain the timber by keeping it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations, applying periodic wax polish to nourish the antique finish.
