Description

A finely made late 18thc lignum vitae Slickenstone....these are hard to find in such good condition , as they were domestic items and used very often in the home for smoothing out damp linen....also used by the sailmaker for smoothing out the creases in sails....this one is very unusual to be made of lignum as usually they are made of glass or marble....excellent colour and patina.
