This Chinese Canton enamel dish dates from the eighteenth century, specifically around 1760 during the Qing Dynasty. The piece is formed from copper with a multicoloured glaze, measuring 10 cm square by 1.5 cm tall. A square shape with canted corners and a lobed rim defines the profile, while four short feet support the base. The surface displays polychrome famille rose enamels in a Jesuit design scene depicting figures in a landscape, bordered by a dark scroll pattern around the edges.
