Description

Large quality antique Edwardian period English oak & silver plated oval twin-handled gallery serving tray, sitting on 4 substantial bun feet.

c.1905

Condition: Very good/excellent antique condition. The silver plate is in absolutely beautiful condition, being completely intact. The oak bed of the tray looks very smart with a nourished appearance. There is a light water mark and a few other general minor marks consistent with age but nothing at all that detracts overall. A light scratch to the central silver plated cartouche. All aspects including the handles are sound and secure. It sits beautifully flat as it should with no wobble. Just to note, there are 2 tiny bolts missing off 2 of the screws on the base of the tray but all aspects are completely secure without them.

Bed of tray (usable space): 47.25cm x 32.5cm
