Art Deco Period Wedgwood by Keith Murray

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a perfect partnership,

A jug and a bowl, they sit perfectly together and compliment each other well.

However, they are both perfectly functional, if one should so wish and could be used as stylish individual pieces.

Murray joined wedgwood , at a period when wedgwood were producing new Matt glazes introduced by Norman Wilson. At that time the future of wedgwood was uncertain, however Murray and Wilson embraced the style of the era and brought much needed financial success to the factory.

The aqua/green bowl has a diameter of 36cm

It has 3 intended ribs each approx 3/4 cm in width.

The rim is approx 10cm wide approx 6cm tall.

With inner depth of 4cm.

The straw coloured melon based shape jug is approx 19cm tall 10cm diameter at the top

Approx 18cm at widest diameter.

This is a rare combination of colour and shape and a fabulous combination for the interior of any modern home especially a lover of deco style.
