Bone & Horn Handle Walking Stick Carved Novelty Whale

1900 - 1920
Description

Rare, high quality, novelty horn and bone walking stick handle, carved as a plump little whale, fins in the foaming surf, with inlaid eyes.

Malacca shaft with nickel collar inscribed D. Rogan 7 Junction St. Hull

In very good sound condition with no damage or repair.

Length 33.5" or 85cm , length of whale 4,3/4" or 12cm

Sensitively carved the horn and bone constructed / jointed with fine dowels

Probably made in the early 20th century.
