Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Coalport porcelain was established in Shropshire, England, during the late 18th century and became renowned for its fine bone china, intricate hand-painted floral motifs, and rich cobalt and gilding combinations.

These pieces are typically crafted from fine bone china, decorated with underglaze cobalt blue, raised hand-applied enamel floral sprays, and heavy gilding fired at high temperatures.

Authenticity is determined by examining factory backstamps, paste translucency, hand-painted details, and wear consistent with age, noting that early marks varied from text names to stylized monograms.

Such sets can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, mounted on walls using plate hangers, or utilized for special dining occasions to introduce historic texture and sophisticated colour to contemporary spaces.

Antique porcelain requires gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent, avoiding abrasive materials, dishwashers, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the delicate gilding.
