19th Century Chinese Floral Embroidery with Gold Thread Work

Description

Offered here is a beautiful 19th century Chinese silk embroidery depicting a vase in the round with flowers and tendrils, worked in blue silks on a cream silk background with sumptuous gold thread throughout.

Framed in a period gold frame and blue mount to emphasise the colours, the embroidery measures 25cm in diameter, and 49cm framed.

The embroidery is in good condition, and the colours are still bright - the silk is delicate as it is well over a hundred years old, so please study the photographs to see it in all its glory!
