This Royal Worcester decorative ewer dates from 1923 and follows a Victorian style. The piece comprises porcelain with a bright gold and pink colourway, featuring a hand-painted floral design of pink and magenta roses with green leaves against an ivory ground. The body stands on a square pedestal base with turned mouldings, rising to a bulbous body, a slender neck, a flared scalloped spout, and an unusual grotesque high loop handle with decorative relief work. The gilded finish remains intact across the base, rim, and handle. Measuring 27.5 cm high, 10 cm wide, and 9 cm deep, the ewer is in good condition. It suits placement on a sideboard top in an English Country House interior setting today as a decorative display object.
