Very large round glass domes from the 19th Century, such as this fine example, are scarce. So, when we were offered three antique domes without their bases, including this rare oversized one, the decision to turn sympathetic antique mahogany bases for them, matching an original pattern, and ebonise them in a traditional manner was an easy one to make. Because of their fragile nature, we are not willing to package and deliver domes using high street couriers or postal services.
