Staffordshire dog figures are earthenware pottery ornaments produced in Staffordshire, England, predominantly during the Victorian era. Typically produced in matching pairs, these seated spaniels were popular decorative accents designed for display on fireplace mantels.

These figures were cast using press-moulds filled with white earthenware clay. After an initial firing, the pieces were coated in a lead glaze and detailed by hand with coloured enamels and lustre finishes.

Authentic nineteenth-century examples typically feature a small air-release hole at the base or back, soft mould seams, and hand-painted glaze variations. Original pieces often display age-related crazing in the clear glaze and natural wear to gilded collars or painted features.
