English Sterling Silver Citrine Scottish Thistle Wax Seal 1906 Antique

Description

A beautiful English antique solid sterling silver and citrine wax seal. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1906 with the maker’s marks being difficult to decipher. It has a been superbly designed with the end being in the form of a Scottish thistle. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, tiny nibbles to the thistle under a lens but nothing of note. It measures approx. 1.5 inches (3.6cm) long by 0.75 inch (1.7cm) wide and weighs 6 grams. A rare example.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
