Doulton harvest ware refers to salt-glazed stoneware items featuring moulded sprigged relief scenes of rural life, drinking bouts, and hunting, predominantly produced by the Doulton Lambeth pottery in London during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Salt-glazed stoneware is made from clay fired at high temperatures where common salt is thrown into the kiln during the heating process, vaporising to form a durable, glassy, textured orange-peel finish, often combined with applied white stoneware relief motifs.

Authentic pieces typically feature crisp, detailed sprigged relief work, traditional brown and blue salt-glaze colouration, and impressed factory stamps or monograms of specific Doulton artists on the unglazed base.

Miniature ceramics can be displayed in small groupings on open shelving, within glass cabinets, or arranged on mantelpieces to add historical texture and curated character to modern spaces.

Antique stoneware should be cleaned gently using warm water and a mild detergent with a soft cloth or brush, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads that might damage the glazed surface or historic material.
