Pair French Golden Mother Of Pearl Opera Glasses C.1900

A rare pair of amber coloured Mother of Pearl Opera glasses with a highly sought-after extending lorgnette handle.
 
Made in France around 1900/1910 they were made to retail in South America, the eye pieces engraved ''La Princesa Joyeria'' and '' Vigil Y Cacho Mexico D.F.'' The underside of the frame is signed by the maker ''R T''.
 
They remain in full working order and in excellent condition complete with a pouch.
 
While folded up they measure 4 1/2'' x 1 7/8'' x 1 3/4''
