It is raised on a square mahogany moulded pedestal and stands on an attractive shaped platform base with four beautifully carved mahogany scrolled feet with original castors.

This nineteenth-century tea and side table originates from the William IV period, rendered in warm brown figured mahogany with a high-polished finish. The rectangular swivel top has rounded corners and rests above a shaped frieze, supported by a central square moulded pedestal. A quadruped platform base terminates in carved scroll feet with visible wood grain and deep rich tones. The design includes a fold-over top mechanism suitable for versatile placement in a hallway, drawing room or beside an entrance. Practical dimensions measure 74 cm high, 96 cm wide and 47 cm deep when closed, expanding to 94 cm deep when open.
