Wax Bottle Cork Seal Wine Label Welsh

Description

Early Victorian wine and spirit merchant's bottle cork seal.

The filled corked bottles were neck dipped into molten wax and appropriately seal stamped.

The outer ring of the intaglio marked

H. JONES CROWN INN GARNDIFFAITH

separate keyed drink named button

seal matrix inserts stored in the handle for

SHERRY PORT RUM GIN BRANDY and WHISKEY

Turned ebony handle with screw top cap, all threads and fits working well

Hairlines in the ebony handle now securely glued and near invisible

insignificant dents to the rim of the matrix

All in very good sound condition

Length 4" or 103mm weight 161 grams.
