Beautifully patinated and naturalistically carved in the form of a pigs head with upright ears and long snout, the rolling ball in the animal’s mouth allows a letter or card to be slid, and then held, in place, removed by a pulling sideways.
Mounted on its original ebonized beechwood board. Circa 1860-1900.
