The piece has a medium brown timber colour with an original polish finish, a dropleaf hinged top, and rounded corner edges. It is raised on slender tapered turned legs that terminate in pad feet, and includes a lower panelled stretcher component between the supports. The wood shows grain variations across the rectangular top surface, and the finish has natural surface wear consistent with age. Practical dimensions of the piece are 71 cm high, 99 cm wide, and 91.5 cm deep when open.
