A very large and decorative Japanese Wall Hanging dating from the Meiji period. Finely worked with Silver & Gold thread, with main scene of Peacocks amongst stylised foliage and Chrysanthemum Flowers.
Some aged damage to border and Sun motif in top left.
Overall tones of Browns with detailed work in Gold Thread.
