Here are two beautiful embroidered silk panels, probably originating as part of a silk kimono, historically brought together as one and framed.
The scene shows four girls in a pastoral landscape surrounded by blossoms, birds, rivers and foliage. A crescent moon rises over mountains at the top of the panel.
The needlework is incredibly delicate and detailed and is completed in elegant hues of blues, creams, golds and turquoises. Although with slightly muted colours due to its age, it is still a beautiful and vibrant piece.
The panel framed measures 48.5cm by 18cm, and is ready to hang.
Please see the photographs and don''t hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way.
