The reverse bears the stamp of Rogers, 51 High St., Oxford - James Rogers worked between 1880 & 1931 as a sculptor, craftsman in wood and heraldic artist. On his retirement, one or both of his sons (Edward 1877-1959 & Arthur 1880 - 1951) ran the business for a number of years. Extra measurement - average depth when open 25cm
